|I can’t believe it! My little guy turned one last week on Halloween (yes, I know, it’s an awesome day for a birthday). The last 12 months have gone by so fast. He is our third (and final) baby and I am sad to see him grow up so fast. Stay little, buddy, stay little! One of my neighbors, who just had her first baby a couple of weeks ago, came over to celebrate with us. She looked exhausted. Remember those days? It seems her little guy just wants to be held all the time. I commiserated and then introduced her to the Moby Wrap. My two younger sons absolutely loved their Moby Wraps.
I was first introduced to this wrap six years ago when my middle son was an infant. The wrap is a long piece of stretchy cotton that you wrap around your waist and shoulders and then snuggle your baby inside it so they are happy and secure being close to you, but your arms are free. Magic!
I’ve tried a few other baby carriers as well, but none work as well as the Moby Wrap because the Moby is actually designed to distribute baby’s weight evenly across the back and shoulders. It also seats baby ergonomically which makes him much more comfortable. Because there are no straps or buckles or anything, it will fit just about any adult who will wear it. They even have a line of MLB Edition Moby Wraps for dads and grandpas.
These days, they come in all kinds of great colors and designs. You can buy them online at www.mobywrap.com or in-person at Target or Babies ‘R’ Us. They can be used with babies up to 35 pounds. My little pumpkin is now 23 pounds, yikes! But he still loves to be carried around in his Moby, especially when he’s tired or not feeling too well.
Thankfully, I have two Moby Wraps so I have lent one to my neighbor. I’ll probably have to buy her one of her own if I ever want to get mine back. Christmas gift, maybe?
