Brilliant Baby Products was founded by Kathleen Tomes, a successful entrepreneur and mother of adorable toddler twins. The Company embodies Kathleen's personal quest for parenting-made-easier. As a mom, Kathleen has found that certain mommy-must-have products not only granted her the gift of time, but also increased her enjoyment of her earliest, most tender moments with her children.

As an entrepreneur who made her first million by the time she was 28 years old, Kathleen has applied her sales and media savvy to Brilliant Baby Products-- a full service sales, packaging, and media resource for baby product inventors and makers.

Prior to founding Brilliant Baby Products, Kathleen spent 13 years serving the sales and marketing needs of consumer brands and retailers, including Canon, Epson, Hasbro Toys, Mattel, Gillette, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, Costco, Staples, Target, Pea in the Pod. This experience gave her the consumer product and retail industry insight to establish a highly successful one-stop sales, packaging, and media resource focused on baby products, an industry for which she has a personal passion.



Kelly Wood, COO of BBP & Mom of Hudson, 5 yrs. old
Strategic Advisor: Public Relations & Branding


Kelly Wood has been recognized as one of Arizona's Top 35 Entrepreneurs Under 35 by AZ Magazine. Kelly is passionate about working with growing businesses ready for stronger brand recognition and increased visibility. Her background includes more than ten years in sales, marketing and public relations, giving her a holistic understanding of the most effective ways in which PR can be leveraged to drive the success of product and overall brand image.

She and her talented PR & Media team have devised and implemented thousands of successful branding and outreach campaigns, including advertising, public relations, social media, VIP and grand opening events, product launches, community relations, cause-related initiatives, trade show outreach, and valuable print, broadcast and online media coverage worth millions of dollars in exposure.

Kelly has also served on several committees for the Phoenix chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, including the Media Breakfast Planning committee and the 2004 and 2005 Copper Anvil Awards committees. She has recently served on the Board of Directors for the Phoenix Green Chamber of Commerce (501c6) and Sedona Jazz on the Rocks (501c3).

Amanda Vega, CMO of BBP & Mom of Peyton, 6 mo. old
Strategic Advisor: PR, Web Marketing, Social Media


Amanda Vega began her career at AOL as a chat moderator 20 years ago. During her tenure at AOL she directly helped to develop and rollout Instant Messenger and Love@AOL (now Match.com's technology.)

Amanda has an MBA from Columbia University and has also completed graduate work at the Wharton School of Business. After selling her second firm to Ogilvy and Mather in 2000, she moved to New York City and consulted for agencies and clients directly to help optimize and integrate the ongoing stream of new technology.

As the landscape of marketing options grows in the online space, Amanda is particularly savvy at helping clients to effectively integrate Internet Marketing with traditional marketing and PR programs. In fact, she was one of the first bloggers on the Internet and helped shape many of the social media tools prevalent today, well before they had a name.

Amanda is also a published author of "PR in a Jar" and a contributor to the bestselling book "The Social Media Bible." She is frequently tapped by major consumer brands for her Internet Marketing expertise and to serve as a speaker at industry events. In fact, she recently established a training seminar program called Mommy Blogger Seminars, which trains Moms to launch, grow, and maintain an effective online presence.
